STRICTLY COME DANCING continues tonight on BBC One but what time does the show start? Express.co.uk has everything you need to know.
Strictly Come Dancing has entered its eight week and there are just eight contestants left in the show. Last week, Viscountess Emma Weymouth and her partner Aljaž Skorjanec. were eliminated from the competition and this week Mike Bushell will be hoping not to find himself in the bottom two for the third week running. Here are all the details about tonight’s show.
What time does Strictly Come Dancing start tonight?
Tonight (Saturday, November 9) on Strictly Come Dancing, the eight remaining couples will be under a lot of pressure to impress the judges and audience at home.
This is because next week is the highly anticipated Blackpool week, where the stars get to perform at the famous Blackpool Tower Ballroom.
Strictly Come Dancing kicks off tonight at 6:50pm GMT on BBC One.
You can watch Strictly as it airs on BBC One or you can stream the episode live via the BBC iPlayer.
If you happen to miss tonight’s instalment of Strictly the entire episode will be available to stream and download via the iPlayer shortly after it has aired on TV.
The first seven shows of Strictly 2019 alongside episodes of the spin-off series It Takes Two are available to watch via the iPlayer now.
Who will perform on Strictly Come Dancing tonight?
After missing the show for two weeks in a row, Strictly professional Neil Jones will return to the dance floor tonight with partner Alex Scott.
Strictly professional Neil Jones also had to pull out of performing with partner Alex Scott due to an injury he received in rehearsals ahead of Halloween week.
Thankfully, fellow Strictly professional and 2018 winner Kevin Clifton stepped in on both occasions to save the day.
Speaking last night (Friday, November 8) on It Takes Two, Neil said: “I’m back. It’s great to be back. You know, [Alex] has been doing so well every week, and Kevin, I have to say thank you because Kevin has been there all the way.
“He’s been great this week, and we couldn’t have done it without him.”
Sadly, Paralympian Will Bayley had to pull out of the competition at the beginning of the month due to a leg injury.
Due to his withdrawal from the show, there are eight contestants left in the competition instead of nine, which means there will be a three couple final this year instead of the usual four.
Still competing for the glitterball trophy this year are:
- Alex Scott and Neil Jones
- Emma Barton and Anton du Beke
- Michelle Visage and Giovanni Pernice
- Saffron Barker and AJ Prichard
- Chris Ramsey and Karen Hauer
- Karim Zeroual and Amy Dowden
- Kelvin Fletcher and Oti Mabuse
- Mike Bushell and Katya Jones
What will happen on tonight’s episode of Strictly Come Dancing?
Once again, the couples will take to the Strictly dance floor, hoping to score perfect 10s across the board.
Ahead of tonight’s show, the BBC teased: “Tonight the pressure is on as the Strictly stars compete for a place in next week’s Blackpool special.
“The iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom is within touching distance and they’re all desperate to get there. The stakes have never been higher this series, so the remaining couples will be giving it everything they’ve got to impress the judges and you at home.
“It promises to be an epic night of dance.”
Here is the complete list of song and dances the couples will be dancing to:
