STRICTLY COME DANCING star Kelvin Fletcher is the favourite to win but it seems Craig Revel Horwood has some doubts about his potential on the competition.
Strictly Come Dancing might be a tight competition at the moment, but there’s without a doubt a favourite. Kelvin Fletcher has won hearts across the country with his sexy skills and sizzling routines.
However, Craig Revel Horwood doesn’t think he will make the grade if he doesn’t make one vital change.
The notoriously hard-to-please judge wrote in Radio Times this week how Kelvin needs to improve his Ballroom if he is to progress.
Speaking about the former Emmerdale star’s strengths and weaknesses, Craig started with the good.
He said: “[Kelvin’s] very much in touch with himself, and his body, and the rhythm of it.
“His strengths lie in Latin – in hip actions and telling stories. He possesses great musicality and rhythm and he blew everyone away with his first dance.
“If he reaches the final and dances the Salsa, then I can definitely see him lifting the Glitterball trophy.
“Plus, he’s loved by the nation.”
Craig went on to address Kelvin’s weaknesses, saying: “He struggles with ballroom.
“And because he came in super-strong from the start, it’s difficult to show the viewers a journey.”
But what does Kelvin need to improve on? “His posture,” Craig confidently replied.
“If he can get some swing and sway into his ballroom, I think he’ll definitely be up to getting to the final.”
Despite Craig’s criticism, Kelvin scored well for his ballroom effort this weekend.
Kelvin and Oti Mabuse performed a Viennese Waltz to Say Something.
The pair bagged 34 for their routine, with Craig offering them an eight.
Shirley Ballas gave them the same score, with Bruno Tonioli and Motsi Mabuse both giving them nines.
Meanwhile Kelvin is currently the favourite to win, according to Betway.
He is priced at 5/6 to lift the Glitterball trophy before Christmas.
Karim Zeroual and Emma Barton are hot on his tail with odds of 3/1 and 6/1 respectively.
Saffron Barker follows at 12/1 and Michelle Visage is priced at 14/1.
