STRICTLY COME DANCING’S Tess Daly and Claudia Winkelman kicked off tonight’s show as the celebrities battled it out for their chance to dance in Blackpool. However viewers couldn’t help but be distracted by one element of Tess’ outfit.
Strictly Come Dancing returned this evening for a sparkly evening of dancing as the stars tried their hardest to impress the judges for their chance to make it through to Blackpool. The show kicked off with Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly being escorted to the dance floor by Gorka Marquez and Graziano Di Prima and viewers couldn’t help but comment on Tess’ outfit of choice.
Tess wore a one shoulder glitzy dress with a tassel of fabric hanging down on one side, while Claudia rocked a halter neck floor length black dress.
One viewer commented: “Tess that dress is a health and safety nightmare! Strictly.”
“I see Tess’ giftwrapped dress is coming unwrapped #Strictly,” another added.
“If Tess manages to go the whole show without breaking her neck on that stupid dress appendage I will be genuinely amazed #Strictly #SCD,” a third wrote.
“Tess love, there’s a bit hanging off your dress #Strictly,” another added.
“Claudia’s dress looks lovely. Tess looks like she’s been wrapped in bacofoil #Strictly,” another tweeted.
Later on in the show, Karim Zeroual was left in tears after the judges ripped apart his Viennese Waltz.
All four judges pointed out the CBBC presenter had made a few mistakes during his performance and Karim struggled to keep his emotions under wraps.
As he waited for his scores with Claudia, he remarked: “That was a hard one, I’m gutted it went wrong.”
“No it happens,” Claudia said. “And you said to me earlier it was your least favourite dance.”
“It was a tough one,” Karim admitted before wiping his eyes and adding: “Sorry, I don’t know why I’m getting upset.”
Elsewhere, Anton Du Beke has revealed what he really thinks of Motsi Mabuse in an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk.
Ahead of this year’s series, Motsi was announced as Darcey Bussell’s replacement following speculation Strictly stalwart Anton could have joined the panel.
Anton is the only professional dancer to have taken part in every series and was one of the many names tipped to replace Darcey.
Giving his opinion on the Strictly judge, Anton said: “She’s doing terrific, she’s hit the ground running really, but I think she’s had the experience of judging in Germany.
“I think that’s done her the world of good and so she’s coming to the show and she hasn’t got to find her feet at all.”
“She’s been absolutely marvellous,” the Strictly stalwart added.
Anton was asked whether he’s ready to hang up his dancing shoes any time soon or if he hopes to carrying on strutting his stuff on the Strictly dance floor for as long as possible.
The Strictly stalwart confessed: “I want to continue forever.”
He continued: “I have no desire to end my participation in Strictly Come Dancing at all, because I’m literally loving every step of it.
“And this year is a wonderful story for me because I’m, you know, dancing with Emma who’s a really super dancer.”
