Strictly 2019: Shirley Ballas entrance leaves viewers distracted with ‘timing issues’

STRICTLY COME DANCING 2019 continued this evening and saw each of the contestants battle it out for another shot at next week’s Blackpool episode – but this evening viewers were left in hysterics as it looked like Shirley Ballas missed her cue to come on stage.

Strictly Come Dancing 2019 opened without a hitch this evening, as all of the contestants were paraded out to welcome the viewers. However viewers were not expecting judge Shirley Ballas to miss her cue.

As the eight remaining couples battle it out to secure their place in next week’s Blackpool special, the judges returned to offer their feedback after the dances.

However, viewers were left amused by one judge in particular, as Shirley Ballas appeared to miss her cue to come out this evening.

The judges walked onto the stage at the beginning of the episode, Shirley could be seen waiting in the wings as she looked confused when she should be entering the floor.

Fans of the show were quick to take to Twitter as they were left amused by Shirley’s actions.

One viewer shared: “Shirley in her own little world there #Strictly

Another joked: “I am always here for Shirley’s awkwardness before they mention her name #strictly #StrictlyComeDancing

“Shirley waiting to be called on made me howl  #strictly,” said a third amused viewer.

Referring to Shirley’s sometimes harsh critique, a fourth said: “Well Shirley, I think you had some timing issues there…….. #SCD #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing

It all proved too much for another, as they shared: “Eight min later, I’m still LOLing at awkward Shirley waiting in the wings #Strictly

The 8 remaining couples are back tonight as they continue to compete to win the coveted Glitterball trophy.

Tonight, the celebs will be hoping to impress with a range of dances in order to send them through to Blackpool next weekend.

CBBC presenter Karim Zeroual topped the leaderboard in tonight’s instalment, after wowing judges with his Quickstep, scoring a near perfect 39 points.

Last week, model and chef Emma Weymouth was the latest to be booted out the competition as she lost out in the dance off against Mike Bushell.

Shirley wowed in an all-sequin affair this evening as she joined her fellow judges.

As she walked out, she gave the audience a small wave, as one viewer noted that the head judge “waved like the queen.”

She sat alongside her fellow judges Motsi Mabuse, Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli to deliver their verdicts on the couples this evening.

It was the second time that BBC presenter Mike had found himself in the bottom two, as it looks like his time could be up on the show this weekend as Coral have him at 2-5 odds to depart.

“Mike Bushell has relied on the judges to survive over the last few weeks and our betting suggests his Strictly journey will come to an end this weekend, devastatingly just before Blackpool where everyone wants to perform on the Tower Ballroom,” said Coral’s John Hill.

At the other end of the leaderboard, Kelvin Fletcher is favourite to win at 8-11 odds: “Kelvin is the red-hot favourite in our outright betting where it would be a huge surprise now if he did not go on to win the series,” added Hill.

As the competition continues to heat up, who will make it through to Blackpool next weekend?

Strictly Come Dancing: The Results airs tomorrow on BBC One at 7.15pm.
