STRICTLY COME DANCING fans were shocked when Emma Weymouth and Aljaž Škorjanec were eliminated at the weekend and on tonight’s It Takes Two, the professional dancer offered a reason why they were knocked out.
Strictly Come Dancing said goodbye to Emma Weymouth and Aljaž Škorjanec this weekend. The pair failed to impress with their Samba and lost out in the dance off to Mike Bushell.
Fans were completely outraged by their elimination, believing it should have been Mike who was sent packing after being in the bottom two three times in a row.
Professional dancer Aljaž spoke about the weekend and how he felt it went.
When asked if he was proud of Emma, the dancer said: “Of course, every single week I’ve been proud of you.
“There hasn’t been one week where I thought, ‘We could have done that better’.”
Reflecting on where he thinks they struggled, Aljaž said: “The two of us are sort of like two Avatars when we put Cuban heels on.
“For someone who is five foot tall it’s easier for someone to get the shapes.
“With our physiques, it took longer.”
He added: “We just got it right on the Thursday and I loved performing it, for me I thought it was a lovely dance.”
Emma became tearful when she reflected on her time on Strictly Come Dancing.
She told host Rylan Clark Neal: “I enjoyed it. I loved our Samba and everyone knows the Samba is a killer.
“We trained so hard and I loved the concept and I really wanted to do it well.
“I would love to keep dancing, I am going to miss this so much.”
Fighting tears, Emma added: “I cried all day yesterday because I’ve been so lucky to be a part of it.
“I’m so sad it’s over. I’m going to miss the training and I’m going to keep dancing.”
When asked who he think will win, Aljaž remained tight-lipped.
The dancer said to Rylan: “It’s such an incredible series – I know we say that every year.
“I think the standard this year… it’s anyone’s game.
“You have a dance in the week that you know won’t be the best, you have to get through that.
“Whoever it is will be a worthy winner.”
