Outlander season 5 spoilers: Jamie Fraser blunder leaves fans reeling – did you spot it?

OUTLANDER fans are becoming extremely eager to see the next season of the show – which is just around the corner. However, upon rewatching the show from its conception, fans have realised a slight blunder in the first season. But did you manage to spot it?

Outlander is renowned for its meticulously crafted sets, locations, and outfits. Jamie Fraser (played by Sam Heughan) and Claire Fraser (Caitriona Balfe) have both been given a number of costumes throughout the series so far.

And as the fifth season of the show is right around the corner, fans of the franchise have been working their way through the show from the beginning once again.

Because of this, fans have begun pointing out a number of blunders throughout the episodes.

One in particular features Jamie keeping his shoes on throughout the entire episode – including a quick midnight rendezvous with Claire.

Outlander fan profeNY recently posted on the show’s Reddit their horror when the discovery was made.

They wrote: “I just rewatched The Wedding (S1E7) and as far as I can tell, Jamie kept his boots on the whole time. Is this correct?”

Another viewer pointed out: “He had them on during the first awkward time. Then later, you can see him taking his socks off.”

While one viewer went on to suggest: “They probably did multiple takes so maybe he put them back on to go downstairs?”

Either way, viewers will surely notice a few more blunders throughout the show before it returns to STARZ early next year.

Another viewer, Fribbio, also recently pointed out a hidden detail in the story.

The viewer pointed out: “In the scene in Inverness after Frank sees the ghost looking up at Claire’s room, Frank implies that perhaps Claire had an affair during the war and reassures her he would completely understand if she did.”

They went on to suggest perhaps Frank Randall (Tobias Menzies) in fact cheated on Claire during their time apart.

They said: “I’ve always thought that when someone says something like this, it is often because they themselves have also cheated and think that by accepting their partner’s indiscretions, they will be forgiven.”

Other fans went on to agree, with one writing: “I think there is supposed to be subtle insinuation of that so we don’t get fully invested in their relationship.

“They really made a point to show it was awkward and that they were going to have to work to get used to each other again, IMO.”

If this detail was indeed true, it would have certainly explained a few things.

In particular, it may have shed some light on the relationship the pair had during the second season.

So far it is not yet clear whether Frank will make a return to the show in the upcoming fifth season.

But considering the circumstances of Claire and Jamie’s story, it is quite unlikely.

Otherwise, could his return spark a change in the atmosphere in the American Revolutionary War?
