Meghan Markle: Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrive for Remembrance event in London

MEGHAN Markle and Prince Harry have arrived at a Remembrance Day event in London, with the Duchess of Sussex opting for a classic black embroidered gown.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex smiled and greeted guests at the Royal Alert Hall for the Festival of Remembrance in London. Meghan opted for a classic mid-length black gown and wore her hair tied back in a neat bun. Harry wore a smart suit with his medals on display.

The Royal Family’s attendance at the annual Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance comes every year.

The event commemorates the 75th anniversaries of the great battles of 1944 and the collaboration and friendship of the British, Commonwealth and Allied armies who fought them.

The festival will also mark the 100-year anniversary of GCHQ and the role of the secret services.

The event aims to pay tribute to the men and women from different nations, cultures, religions and communities who came together and stood shoulder to shoulder to defend Britain’s freedom.

The Legion’s festival takes place every year on November 9.

The Queen was joined by the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, who earlier this week had to pull out of events because of a chest infection.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex sat with the Queen in the royal box at the annual Festival of Remembrance.

The event is the first time the Sussexes and Cambridges have appeared in public together since Harry and Meghan opened up about their struggles in an emotional television documentary.

It is unknown if the Sussexes and Cambridges attended together.

Meghan’s attendance comes after she and Harry also went to a Remembrance Day memorial in central London yesterday.

The attendance saw Meghan spark rumours she may be expecting their second child.

Meghan was pictured resting her hands on her stomach the same way she did when she was first expecting Archie, born in May.

The very specific mannerism has fuelled speculation she and Prince Harry could be expecting baby number two.

Odds on the Sussexes having another child next year have been slashed following their latest outing.

Bookmakers Ladbrokes has Meghan at 2/1 to give birth next year.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Meghan is making a habit of giving royal watchers reason to believe she’s pregnant, and the latest odds suggest another baby could soon be on the cards.”
