IAN WRIGHT – a former professional footballer – has been tipped as one of the contestants to appear on this year’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! and now former contestant Danny Baker has hinted his pal should get himself voted out of the show in the first week.
Ian Wright, 56, is one of the various celebrities rumoured to head into the jungle for the ITV series of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!. Now, former BBC Radio DJ Danny Baker, 62, has issued some advice to the former Arsenal striker.
Former jungle star Danny has told pal Ian Wright to get himself voted out first so he can enjoy a two-week Australian holiday.
The presenter appeared on I’m A Celebrity in 2016 and was kicked out before any of the other stars.
Speaking to the Daily Star, Danny advised: “If you’re going to come out of the Jungle then come out first. You’re going to have the time of your life.
“It’s a sweet gig – and I’ve had some sweet gigs. I’ve been to World Cups and had my life story made into films and stuff.

“The second best ever gig was the Jungle – it was tremendous.”
Danny, who lost his BBC radio job after he tweeted about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s baby using a photo of a chimpanzee, also advised that Ian should not fear the trials.
He told the publication: You’ll have a snake on your head, you look at the crew and they’re all laughing.
“You’re not on your own.”
His comments comes after it was widely reported that the Arsenal legend will be making his debut in the Australian jungle.
The former professional footballer has also been getting advice from his pal and I’m A Celebrity winner Harry Redknapp, 72, who warned him to “stay calm” on the show.
Harry hinted that Ian might have a bit of a temper, and he’d need to reign it in while in the jungle.
The former West Ham United manager, told the Mirror: “I’d tell him ‘Keep calm, Wright.’
“He’s got a short fuse. I played golf with him the other day and he threw a bit of a wobbler with another player.”
“You have to bite your tongue in the camp. It’s hard.
“You can get tetchy as there’s nothing to do. It gets boring.
“You can get on each other’s nerves. If anyone gets on Wrighty’s nerves, he’ll tell ‘em.”
Rugby union hero James Haskell is another rumoured I’m a Celebrity contestant this year, and Harry added that if this is the case Ian would need to be careful around him.
He said: “Wright needs to keep quiet with him. He’s a tough guy.”
Ian has been rumoured to be heading for the Aussie jungle ever since someone tweeted that Harry had let slip his mate was going in during an appearance at the Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham.
Other rumoured participants include Good Morning Britain’s Kate Garraway, radio presenter Roman Kemp and BBC Radio 1 DJ Adele Roberts.
