CHRIS RAMSEY has coupled up with professional dancer Karen Hauer for the 17th season of Strictly Come Dancing, but before he went on the show his wife Rosie addressed the infamous ‘Strictly curse’ with the comedian.
Comedian Chris Ramsey and Karen Hauer will again take to the dance floor tonight for Week 8 of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing. The pair will attempt to get one step closer to win the prestigious Glitterball Trophy by performing the Tango to Survivor by Destiny’s Child.
Before the 33-year-old funnyman went on the ballroom competition, he discussed the so-called ‘Strictly curse’ with his wife Rosie.
On the couple’s podcast Sh***ed, Married, Annoyed, released shortly after Chris’ place on Strictly was confirmed in February, Rosie joked she “wasn’t looking forward to him cheating on her”.
Chris light-heartedly replied: “Look… I can’t help if the Strictly curse takes effect and I cheat on you.
“Just be happy for us in our new life living with a dancer.”
Rosie, who married Chris in 2014, joked back at her husband and said: “I’m prepared for it… and we never got a prenup, so it’s fine.
“I’ll get the house, I’ll still get everything so it’s fine, it’s all good.”
Chris admitted he was worried about what questions he would get on the show.
He said questioning someone if they’re about to cheat on their partner is a “horrible” thing to ask.
He said: “I’m sort of pre annoyed that people are going to ask us that.
“I feel like the whole world because of this show are going to ask us that question.”
Rosie suggested in the podcast they could lay down some ground rules to avoid such questions.
She said Chris should avoid showing his nipples, and wear a codpiece to prevent him from straying.
Chris laughed and asked: “I thought you were gonna chop it off and keep it at home while I’m away?”
In the podcast Rosie seemed to be more worried about other issues she could face with Chris dancing on Strictly.
She said: “If you end up looking better than me after this show, I will be f***ing fuming.
“I’m so jealous. I’m going to look like a freaking Oompa Loompa next to ya.”
Chris replied: “Well I’ll be orange with the fake tan…that’ll be me! We’ll be exactly the same shade of orange.
“Eee! My pillow will match your pillow in bed!”
Getting excited at that prospect, Rosie said: “Babe I can tan ya!”. Her husband responded: “Hey, couples who tan together stay together.”
