Billy Joe Saunders takes on Marcelo Esteban Coceres tonight but how much has he made and what is his net worth?
Billy Joe Saunders and Marcelo Esteban Coceres will battle it out on the undercard of KSI vs Logan Paul 2.
Saunders will make the first defence of his WBO super-middleweight title against the undefeated Argentinian.
“I need to showcase some skills in America, no one really knows me here but you will do after Saturday night,” Saunders said.
“No disrespect to my opponent, I’m here to put a showcase on to show how levels are made.
“I’m after Canelo [Alaverz], [Gennady] Golovkin, all the big names, they’ve been hiding too long.
“I’m a two-weight champion and I’m really hoping to put on good performance for the American crowd.
“I hope you enjoy your night, some good fights, some super talent on the show and a couple of YouTubers.”
All of the action takes place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
How much is Billy Joe Saunders worth?
Saunders’ overall wealth is estimated at £1.57million ($2m), according to the Net Worth Portal.
He is guaranteed a purse of £587,000 ($750,000) from his fight with Coceres, who will collect £62,000 ($80,000).
These figures don’t include shares of PPV revenue, ticket sales or sponsorship deals.
Despite the lucrative purses on offer in boxing, Saunders revealed in 2017 that his properties bring in more money.
“I’ve been very, very lucky, I’ve probably earned more through property than I have through boxing,” he said.
“Where I come from, being a young kid, 11 years old, I’ve always had to buy and sell something.
“Even when I got older, 16, 17, I was buying and selling cars, little cars, but it was what I could afford.
“There’s a hell of a lot of money to be made in property. I rent them out, I have flipped them, I’ve got lucky with planning permission on some, building on some. I’ve fallen lucky a couple of times.”
