Amazon Black Friday sale starts early this year and here’s what to expect

AMAZON’s annual Black Friday sale bonanza kicks off early this year and here’s all the deals to expect from the retail giant.

Just like last year, Amazon’s Black Friday sale will start a week before the retail phenomenon’s official date on November 29. That means you have an extra seven days of discounts to take advantage of.

The retail giant’s event will run from 00:01 on Friday November 22 until 23:59 on November 29, during which time there will be tens of thousands of deals available.

Amazon is continuing its Black Friday tradition by offering “deals of the day” and “lightning deals”. As the name suggests, the former will slash the prices of particular products for a 24-hour period while the latter will apply to items of a limited quantity and for a shorter amount of time.

In fact, the Seattle-based firm has insisted new lightning deals will surface as often as every five minutes, giving you the perfect reason to frantically refresh the site to see what prices have hit a new low.

If you’re an Amazon Prime member, you’ll be given exclusive 30-minute early access to all new lightning deals, giving you precious time to snap up products before anyone else.

Not an Amazon Prime member? Don’t worry, the retail giant offers month-long Prime trials for all users, and what better time to test it out than during Black Friday.

So what exactly will be discounted during Amazon’s Black Friday event? Well, Amazon has stayed tight-lipped on the specifics, but we’d expect in-house hardware like its Echo speakers to crash in price.

4K TVs, headphones, laptops, smartphones and smartwatches were all treated to extraordinary discounts last year, too. So expect more of the same in 2019.

Of course, will update you the moment Amazon’s sale starts and inform you of the best deals.

Discussing Amazon’s Black Friday event, the firm’s UK Country Manager, Doug Gurr, said: “We know how important it is to help our customers save money where they can at this time of year, so we’re excited to be launching our tenth Black Friday Sale to UK customers in the lead-up to the festive season.

“With new deals announced every day across eight days, savvy shoppers will be able to discover great deals on a huge range of products and stock up on everything they need to make the most of their celebrations.”

Need a retail fix for Black Friday? Amazon’s got you covered. The firm is opening its Home of Black Friday customer experience for the third year running.

The London experience will be open from November 28 to December 1 and will be home to hundreds of great deals, according to Amazon.

The Home of Black Friday experience is located on 7 Addington Street, London, SE1 7RY.
