Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell) has struggled since returning to Walford as he tries to move on from his crimes and his time in prison.
Iqra Ahmed (Priya Davdra) had invited him to join her family to celebrate Eid, which he eventually agreed to.
He is set to find acceptance in the Islam faith as the EastEnders storyline progresses, but he is also set to face new struggles as he explains his decision to Kathy (Gillian Taylforth) and Ian (Adam Woodyatt).
As Bobby joins the Ahmeds to celebrate Eid, here is everything that you need to know about the religious festival.
There are two Eid celebrations each year – Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha.
Eid al-Fitr took place in June and is held at the end of Ramadan when Muslims finish their fasting.
Eid al-Adha started on Sunday evening and is the second of the two Islamic holidays.
It is also known as Festival of the Sacrifice because it honours Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his son to show his obedience to God.
Before the sacrifice God provides him with a lamb to sacrifice instead, and now Muslims sacrifice an animal during Eid in commemoration.
It is a three-day festival and happens on the 10th day of Dhu al-Hijjah on the Islamic lunar calendar.
