Strictly Come Dancing has reportedly added Anneka Rice to this year’s line-up – and you just know she’ll be up to the challenge.
The Challenge Anneka star, who made her name in the 80s as a fun-filled TV presenter, is known for getting stuck into any and every situation thrown at her.
Now, the 60-year-old is reportedly going to be literally put through her paces as one of this year’s stars.
‘She’s a TV institution and a familiar face to viewers who’ll be rooting for her. Anneka is in great shape and can’t wait to strut her stuff,’ a source told The Sun.
Anneka was last seen on our screens as part of Celebrity Hunted, and in June revealed that after becoming known for her daredevil nature she was once offered the role of a Bond Girl.
She revealed to Lorraine that she turned the job down – because she wanted to be Bond.
The signing comes after months of speculation that she would be taking part this year.
Other rumoured new additions to the series are Made In Chelsea’s Jamie Laing, who will break the show’s long-held rule of no reality stars.
RuPaul’s Drag Race star Michelle Visage has also been named as a potential candidate for the line-up.
Strictly this year will see Motsi Mabuse stepping into Darcey Bussell’s shoes for the first time as the new judge on the panel.
It was rumoured that the move caused tension among the Strictly pros over fears that it would see her make preferential treatment to sister Oti, who also stars on the series.
