Sead Kolasinac has spoken out on his heroic display during a shocking attempted carjacking that saw the Arsenal defender fight off an armed attacker.
Arsenal stars Mesut Ozil and Kolasinac were targeted by armed attackers in London on Thursday, but the full-back amazingly fought off the moped gang.
Despite the carjacker wielding a knife, Kolasinac scared him off and even chased after him as Ozil sped away.
Kolasinac has been rightly hailed a hero for his actions and broke his silence on the incident on Twitter.
The Bosnian tweeted a punch emoji, but quickly deleted the post before issuing another message on Friday, saying: ‘Think we’re fine.’
Police blocked off the road after the gang fled and confirmed neither Kolasinac or Ozil were hurt during the incident.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: ‘Police were called to Platts Lane, NW3, shortly before 17.00hrs on Thursday, 25 July to reports of an attempted robbery.
‘It was reported that suspects on motorbikes had attempted to rob a man who was driving a car.
‘The driver, along with his passenger, managed to get away unharmed and travelled to a restaurant in Golders Green, where they were spoken to by officers. There have been no arrests. Enquiries continue.’
Arsenal also released a short statement, confirming they had been in touch with their players and both men were ‘fine’.
