A mother screamed with relief after being reunited with her autistic six year-old son who vanished from close to their home.
The woman was filmed walking down a street filled with police and firefighters close to her home, then shouting ‘Landon! Landon!’ on catching sight of her son.
That youngster – six year-old Landon Lindsay, from Lewisville in North Carolina, disappeared in a quiet neighborhood on Monday afternoon.
His stricken mother immediately dialed 911, prompting a huge police response, and immediate search for Landon.
The boy’s mother faced an agonizing 90 minute search for her child, before spotting him, and realizing he was safe and well.
Landon was found just two doors down from where he had last been seen, after wandering into a neighbor’s unlocked basement, WXII reported.
His parents were particularly worried, because Landon is non-verbal, and does not respond or interact with people who have requested his attention.
They added that their son was a ‘very energetic little boy who likes to flap his arms and make noises.’
Landon and his family thanked emergency responders for their help in tracking him down.
