Lori Loughlin’s daughter Olivia Jade has hit back at ‘sources’ in light of her parent’s college admissions scandal.
The 19-year-old has made a number of headlines in the past week with speculation rising as to whether or not she would return the University of Southern California, or take time out to focus on her career as an influencer.
However, it seems as though the student is not here for the gossip as she held up her middle fingers towards the camera before tagging a number of established news sites.
Fans were quick to comment on the post and were excited to see the grid girl’s return to social media, after she kept her head down in light of the ongoing court case.
‘I’ve been waiting for this day for wayyyy tooo long,’ one wrote while another cheered Olivia on: ‘YES YES YES.’
Someone else said: ‘OHHH SHE DID THAT,’ yes, yes she did.
The post comes almost a month after she broke her silence following the infamous scandal to wish her mum a happy birthday.
Sharing a throwback to when she was a baby, sitting Lori’s lap, Olivia wrote: ‘one day late. happy birthday. i love you so much.’
Lori and her husband Mossimo were both accused of paying $500,000 (£409,100) to make it seem like daughters Bella and Olivia were on the rowing team, in order to guarantee their admissions into the University of Southern California.
They have since been indicted with charges including money laundering and conspiracy to commit mail fraud and could if convicted face a 40-year-maximum prison sentence.
The married couple are due back in court on 27 August.
Back in May, an insider told Entertainment Tonight that Olivia wasn’t speaking to mother.
They claimed: ‘Olivia is having a very hard time dealing with this, and for the most part, she’s cut herself off from her mother and is going out and partying a lot.
‘She feels she hasn’t been a part of any wrongdoing and feels tricked by her parents into going to a school that wasn’t even her top choice.
‘Right now she wants to prove she can do it on her own, and she thinks going back to school will help renew her image.’
