FOX News host Sean Hannity was caught in a hilarious on-air blunder during his segment on the channel.
According to the host, Donald Trump was scheduled to appear on the show but unfortunately for Mr Hannity, the President was unable to be reached. Introducing the President, the Fox News host said: “Joining us now, is the President. President Trump sir, thank you for being back with us.”
Unfortunately, the TV host’s welcome was met with complete silence.
As the seconds of silence drew on, the host insisted the President was on the line, or he hoped at least.
He added: “We do have him I think.
“I hope, somebody.”
Flustered, the host quickly cut away to a separate segment of the programme.
Not long after, however, the President did manage to connect to them and was welcomed with an apology “on behalf of the whole Fox News channel”.
Following the blunder, the pair then spoke of the recent hearing of special counsel, Robert Mueller.
Trump has recently claimed that he was “totally exonerated” by the report by Mr Mueller.
However, contrary to Trump’s comments, Mr Mueller insisted that his report had done anything but.
Although his initial report into collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian interference did not bring any legal charges against Trump, the defence counsel insisted that more needs to be done to investigate.
Mr Mueller said this week: “Over the course of my career, I have seen a number of challenges to our democracy.
“The Russian government’s effort to interfere in our election is among the most serious.
“Much more needs to be done in order to protect against this intrusion, by the Russians but others as well.”
