PRINCESS BEATRICE could be ready to marry her boyfriend Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi soon, according to a royal source. But could Eugenie and Beatrice split in a similar way to the Sussex and Cambridge couples?
Princess Beatrice may be ready to marry her Italian boyfriend Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi soon, as the couple are allegedly getting “increasingly serious”. If they were to marry in 2019, their wedding would be the fourth in two years for the Royal Family. Since Meghan joined the family last year, speculation has arisen the Sussex and Cambridge households are feuding, but would the same happen with Eugenie and Beatrice?
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in St George’s Chapel last May.
And since then, the pair have made repeated bids for independence from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge over the last year.
Their efforts saw them move from Kensington Palace to Frogmore House in Windsor, and break away from the Royal Foundation – a charity established by Harry and William.
According to royal experts, the same royal fracture would not happen between Beatrice and Eugenie.
Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told Express.co.uk Beatrice and Eugenie are “inseparable” and could not be prized apart in the same fashion.
He said: “Say what you like about the Yorks, they are an extremely close-knit family.
“They are certain to remain so.
“If Beatrice marries Edoardo, expect Eugenie to be Maid of Honour, as she was when Eugenie married Jack Brooksbank last year.”
“The sisters have always been inseparable with supportive parents. I would expect that to be lifelong.”
Princess Eugenie recently posted an Instagram dedication to both of her parents on their wedding anniversary, one day late.
Although the Duke and Duchess of York are no longer married, the Princess chose the date to thank her parents for her upbringing.
She posted a picture of Andrew and Sarah Ferguson beaming as they left Westminster Abbey following their wedding ceremony in 1986.
The photo was captioned: “Who else has ever forgotten to congratulate their parents on their wedding anniversary!
“I’m a day late but I wanted to celebrate my parents getting married 33 years ago.
“Thank you for always being the best of friends and bringing us up together.”
Sarah and Andrew have been the subject of rumours suggesting the pair could reunite, but have not commented on any claims so far.
