ANDRES INIESTA lines-up against former club Barcelona today but how much is he paid at Vissel Kobe and what is his net worth?
Spanish great Andres Iniesta will have the strange sensation of playing against his boyhood club today.
The midfielder spent 16 trophy-filled years at Barcelona but he now wears the colours of Japan’s Vissel Kobe.
Iniesta won 31 trophies at the Nou Camp before joining Kobe last year.
He will now face the likes of former midfield companions Sergio Busquets and Ivan Rakitic for the first time.
Two other former Barca players – David Villa and Sergi Samper – are also set to feature for Kobe in the pre-season friendly.
“I think as a club and a team, it is a privilege to be able to play against Barca,” Iniesta said.
“It is a really special game which all of us will try to enjoy.
“On a personal level it’s pretty obvious that it will be special to go up against so many former team-mates.
“We will prepare as best we can so that people have a good time and see a great game and that it is a special day for our fans, for the Barca fans who are here and for all of Japan.”
Andres Iniesta net worth
According to Celebrity Net Worth, Iniesta’s overall wealth is valued at $120million.
The 35-year-old signed a three-year deal with Kobe last summer worth a reported $30m per year.
That places him among the top 10 highest-paid players in the world.
Iniesta founded a winery in 2010 and one of his signature bottles is named “Minuto 116”, a reference to his World Cup-winning goal for Spain at the 2010 World Cup.
