A WOMAN enjoys huge restaurant roasts for less than a fiver, so how does she do it?

Roast dinners aren’t the cheapest of meals but one savvy woman enjoyed a dinner for two for an affordable price.

Melissa Butcher shared a photo of her massive roast dinner to the Money Saving Hints, Tips and Ideas Facebook group.

The 25-year-old, from Peterborough, wrote: “Got this massive roast dinner for £3.25. Photo doesn’t even do it justice!

“The bottom was all meat, it was a local chain pub close to me and I got to pick what I wanted from the buffet!

She added: “This fed 2 of us! So happy with it! Worth a look if anyone hasn’t heard of it yet!”

Speaking with Latest Deals, Melissa revealed she used an app called Too Good To Go.

Her post quickly went viral, with over 360 likes and nearly 140 comments on the Facebook group.

Money-savers congratulated Melissa’s app knowledge, with one commenting: “Thank you. I didn’t know about this.”

Another described it as “bloody amazing”.

And a third commented: “I have just downloaded the app. Looking forward to using it.”

The Too Good To Go app is a clever solution to food waste that allows customers to buy all the leftovers restaurants throw out.

People can pick up delicious meals at the fraction of the usual cost by using the app, which is great for tackling food waste.

Melissa explained: “I found the app through someone suggesting it on Facebook, I think it’s great to minimise food waste.”

Tom Church, co-founder of Latest Deals, said: “Melissa’s huge roast works out cheaper than cooking at home.

“Look at the size of it! For £3.25 it’s a bargain. However, the way Too Good To Go works is that it connects you to local restaurants.

“So not everyone’s going to be able to take advantage of this specific offer.

“But, you will find things unique to your local area. For example, I used it recently at Yo! Sushi and go about £20 worth of food for just £3.

“If you want to save money but still enjoy eating food from restaurants, it’s a fantastic compromise.”
