COUPLES are having sex in all sorts of places now that the sun’s out.
Beaches, cars, fields and parks are some of the most popular locations for sex.
According to a new Lovehoney study, at least six in ten respondents have romped in a car, while three in ten prepared to give it a go.
The research revealed that over 55s are the most likely to have sex in a field or forest.
Meanwhile, the younger crowd are more likely to have sex at a family event, with a quarter of 25-34 year olds owning up to it.
As the summer holidays are well underway, beaches are another hot spot for outdoor sex.
One in four (42%) over 55s and a third of over 65s (35%) admitted to getting down and dirty on a beach, compared to 17% of 18-24 year olds.
The research suggests the Mile-High Club remains a myth for most with only 5% admitting to trying it, while 42% are willing to give it a go.
“Our findings reveal some fascinating insight into sexual happiness”
Sammi Cole, Lovehoney’s sex and relationships expert, said: “Our findings reveal some fascinating insight into sexual happiness in the UK and prove we are a nation of outdoor sex lovers.
“We’re sure the hot temperatures will inspire even more of us to give this a try, just make sure no one is likely to stumble across you and see something they might not want to!
“And if you’re looking for a way to keep cool while you get hot and steamy why not try one of our glass dildos that can be dipped in cold water to bring a little refreshment to your sex life.”
Meanwhile, a Lovehoney expert revealed how the hot weather boosts sex lives.
It is believed couples will be ramping up the action between the sheets as overnight temperatures are expected to break records.
Annabelle Knight, of Lovehoney, explained: “Hot weather does increase libido because after exposure to sunlight our bodies produce more vitamin D, this then leads to increases in testosterone levels.
“Research is available which reveals men have 33% more testosterone flowing through their bodies in June compared to January. Men with more testosterone have more orgasms, in other words, spending time in the sun can lead to better sex.”
