AN UNKNOWN object seen hurtling past a SpaceX satellite has sent the conspiracy world into a frenzy – after it appeared to move as if it was a spacecraft.
The footage – posted by YouTube channel thirdphaseofmoon – was taken onboard SpaceX’s Amos 17 satellite, which launched earlier this week.
As part of it separates, a bright orb zooms past the camera.
It then seems to veer to the left before disappearing out of sight.
Blake and Brett Cousins – who run the conspiracy channel – claimed the object could not simply be space debris because of its flight path.
“Take a look at that,” Brett says in the video on August 9.
“It’s moving and shoots straight ahead, then banks to the left.
“That’s what makes this video very cool.
“What is it? Is it powered by something?
“How can it make a bank to the left in space unless it has its only propulsion system.”
Blake claimed many were saying the object was “keeping an eye” on the satellite.
“The whole idea of this just being space debris, you would see it continue in a straight trajectory,” he added.
“But it does this unusual manoeuvre that defies any logic.”
Thousands of people have seen the clip and commented their thoughts on what the object could be.
“That has to be proof of aliens,” one wrote.
Another claimed it was the Space Force, saying: “Anti-gravity magnetic-propulsion bots.”
But a third had a more reasoned approach, adding: “The SpaceX debris went straight it was the second stage and the camera that moved gives the debris the appearance of being under power.”
