THE heroic mum of a girl killed in a shark attack fought off the beasts with her bare hands while trying to rescue her daughter.
Jordan Lindsey, 21, was on a snorkelling trip in the Bahamas when her family noticed three fins circling her.
Her mum Kami originally thought she was playing with dolphins.
But to her horror, they realised the beasts were tiger sharks and tried to warn her about them advancing on her location in Rose Island.
Her dad Michael told Good Morning America how she heroically tried to swim away after first attack.
“Mom, there’s another shark coming”
Heroic mum Kami also fought off the sharks when Jordan reached her.
He said: “Kami said she heard Jordan yell, “mom”.
“And then Kami looked back and her first thing was she thought dolphins were around Jordan.”
He added: “She’s yelling, ‘Jordan come to swim to me’.
“Then Jordan is not swimming so good and then Kami realised the first shark took most of her right arm off.”
Authorities revealed Jordan was bitten on her arms, legs and buttocks.
They also confirmed her right arm had been torn off her body in the original attack.
Michael heartbreakingly recounted: “They’re swimming slowly and Jordan said, ‘Mom there’s another shark coming’, and then it just hit the second shark hit again like on her lower leg.
“[The shark] just took a giant chunk out of her – and then that’s the last thing Jordan said.”
Kami then hauled her daughter onto some nearby rocks and fought off the sharks by punching them in the nose.
She was rushed to the Doctor’s Hospital in Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas, but was pronounced dead at the scene.
A picture of one of the sharks that attacked Jordan on June 27 was released.
