Susnjar survives cut in new Socceroos era


Czech Republic-based defender Aleksandar Susnjar has survived the cut as Bert van Marwijk finalises his first squad as Socceroos coach.

Susnjar, stalwart Tim Cahill, goalkeeper Brad Jones, A-League midfielder Josh Brillante and attacker Andrew Nabbout are also in a 26-man squad announced on Wednesday for looming friendlies against Norway and Colombia.

Susnjar, Nabbout, Dimitri Petratos and Daniel Vukovic could be capped for the first time in the fixture against Norway in Oslo on March 23 (local time) or the encounter with Colombia in London four days later.
