Reports: Ravens sign WR Brown to one-year deal

Former Arizona Cardinals wide receiver John Brown is expected to sign with the Baltimore Ravens when free agency officially opens on Wednesday, according to multiple reports.

Per a Sirius XM report, the one-year deal will be worth $5 million, with an additional $1.5 million achievable through incentives.

Brown, who turns 28 next month, missed six games in 2017 while battling quad and turf toe injuries. He was diagnosed with sickle-cell trait in 2016, an issue that kept him out of one game and has limited his ability to train and practice for stretches over the past two seasons.

A third-round pick of the Cardinals in 2014, Brown had 113 catches for 1,699 yards and 12 touchdowns through his first two years in the league. Over the past two campaigns, however, he totaled 60 catches for 816 yards and five scores.

The Ravens had been rumored to have interest in free-agent wideouts Allen Robinson and Donte Moncrief, but both players agreed to long-term deals elsewhere on Tuesday.
